The family of slain photojournalist Anton Hammerlfamily seeks justice for his 2011 murder in Libya while covering the Libyan Civil War. To date, Hammerl’s body has not been found.

Hammerl’s family has received minimal help and cooperation from the South African government about his passport which was received from the government in 2016  – a document he would have had on him when he was killed.

Hammerl’s family is calling on the international community to fill the investigative void and take the action Libya has failed to take since April 5, 2011.

Here are some useful resources for journalists reporting on the conflict.
